On the next American Black Journal: An early childhood initiative, “Hope Starts Here,” led by The Kresge Foundation and W.K. Kellogg Foundation reaches an important milestone in its mission to make Detroit a city that puts young children and families first. We’ll talk about the massive engagement effort and the framework that’s now in place.¬† Plus, studies show that young Black males have greater success when they have African-American male teachers.
