Detroit PBS KIDS Community Fellowship Southwest Detroit

Detroit PBS Education team has been listening to find ways to uplift the work our partners are doing with families.

A common challenge we hear is improving parent engagement. As your local PBS station, we want to support community efforts with families by sharing successful engagement strategies and no-cost, high quality content.

These fellows will join the 6-month cohort of family engagement representatives through the 24-25 school year, facilitated by Tara Hardy, Director of Early Learning at Detroit PBS. Together, they will access and utilize resources from PBS and other local, statewide, and national partners to support families in literacy, executive function, and social-emotional learning. At the end of the Cohort, each fellow will deliver a project to their organizations families.
