2024 Spotlight Detroit: Short Films Featuring the Current Cohort of Kresge Artist Fellows and the 2024 Eminent Artist

The premiere of short films from the Michigan Emmy award-winning “Kresge Arts in Detroit” features a new collection of films, “Spotlight Detroit: Short Films Featuring the Current Cohort of Kresge Artist Fellows and the 2024 Eminent Artist.” These films were co-created with 12 Detroit filmmakers and capture the literary and visual artistic work of the current cohort of Kresge Artist Fellows and the 2024 Eminent Artist, Nora Chapa Mendoza.
Kresge Arts in Detroit is generously funded by The Kresge Foundation and administered by the College for Creative Studies. Since 2008, Kresge Arts in Detroit has awarded more than $8 million through 16 Kresge Eminent Artist Awards, 258 Kresge Artist Fellowships, and 42 Gilda Awards. In 2024, the fellowships (historically $25,000 each) and Eminent Artist Award (historically $50,000 each) increased to $40,000 and $100,000 respectively.
