Accounting Clerk (Part Time)

We are actively seeking dynamic and diverse team member to join us in the role of Accounting Clerk (Part Time) in Wixom, MI, in a hybrid work structure.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and entry–level bookkeeping tasks.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare daily transmittals for bank deposits.
  • Reference RevCRM system for recording donor information that supports the daily transmittals.
  • Record canvassing deposits. Coordinate with DDS to resolve any deposits discrepancies.
  • Reconcile monthly transmittals posted in General Ledger with Rev CRM reports.
  • Reconcile bank accounts daily and monthly.
  • Assist with mapping membership expenses for CDP reporting.
  • Print and distribute monthly cash receipts and aging report to assigned distribution group.
  • Administer and maintain organization of accounting files relevant to the assigned task.
  • Distribute departmental mail.
  • Responsible for coordinating and processing organization’s office supply needs.
  • Serve as backup in assisting AP with matching vendors invoices with packing slips.
  • Serve as backup for shipping & receiving.
  • Perform other administrative functions and duties as needed.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform numerical detail work accurately.
  • Ability to use MS Office suite of programs and general familiarity with computer operation with a willingness to learn new programs.
  • Ability to work efficiently with scanned and digital files.

Qualifications

  • Accounting course work or certification preferred.
  • Bookkeeping and/or accounting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer software programs including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be bondable.

Physical Demands

Individual must be able to type and sit behind a desk for extended periods of time. There is also considerable movement around the building to various departments and locations, which may include shipping and receiving various packages and counting inventory.

Work Environment

Individual is exposed to a typical office setting with computer equipment. Individual may be exposed to warehouse setting, as called for in shipping, receiving and inventory counts.
