Detroit PBS Names Two New Members To Board Of Trustees

Antonio Enoex II and Mark S. Lee bring a rich diversity of perspectives, broad expertise, and thoughtful insight to guide Detroit PBS’s vision and better serve the community

DETROIT (July 11, 2023) – Detroit PBS announced the recent appointment of two new members to its Board of Trustees. Antonio Enoex II and Mark S. Lee will bring their fresh perspectives along with their wealth of experience, integrity, and leadership to help steer the organization forward. They were appointed to the board on June 29, 2023, for three-year terms.

“I am pleased to welcome our new board members who are energetic, knowledgeable, and ready to provide voice and vision to further our mission,” said Rich Homberg, president and CEO of Detroit PBS. “Their deep, diverse experience, leadership, and insight will help drive our next chapter of work. I look forward to working with these committed individuals who I’m confident will make a positive impact on our communities.”

Antonio Enoex II

Enoex currently works for Comerica Bank as Vice President of the Business Unit Risk for the Technology Controls Office. He has amassed over 20 years experience in education, risk assessment, corporate auditing, and internal controls in addition to a decade of collaborating with General Motors senior leadership from cross-functional Business Units.

Before taking on the role at Comerica, he was a Senior Finance Analyst in Operational Risk Management for Sales/Marketing at GM. While on board, one of his accomplishments included the monitoring of the warranty policy incentive review that saved GM roughly $300 million in sales incentives year over year and $200 million in warranty claims year over year.

Enoex began his professional career working at the grassroots level with Barnabas Youth Opportunities Center in Detroit’s Empowerment Zone/Core City/Cass Corridor. As a technology curriculum developer, he developed and evaluated instructional content to support IBM’s Wired for Technology Access Grant, a project aimed at equipping students and families with resources to promote higher student performance, achievement and the expansion of the existing learning village programs in conjunction with Detroit Public School and Detroit Urban League. He later founded the AWAKE Community Learning Center LLC to help bridge the digital divide in urban communities, specifically Detroit’s empowerment zones.

He then worked primarily in the education sector, first as a research assistant for the University of Michigan, followed as an educator for Detroit Public School, a project coordinator for Wayne State University, and a grant writer and program director for the Charter School Administration Service. He then transitioned into a compliance role at Detroit Public Schools before later moving on to General Motors.

Enoex received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution from Eastern Michigan University and his Master of Education in Administration and Organizational Studies in Human Performance Technology from Wayne State University. He is a Detroit native who currently resides in the city.

Mark S Lee

Lee is the president and CEO of The LEE Group, MI LLC, an independent integrated marketing consulting firm, providing marketing, branding, and communication solutions to clients, along with training and development to organizations in the areas of branding, re-branding, communications, and executive coaching.

Throughout his distinguished career, Lee has held leadership positions locally, regionally, and nationally in strategic, marketing, communications and other related areas focused on business strategy and growth. He has worked for blue-chip organizations including AAA, Pepsico, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, among others. Additionally, Lee was the Detroit Lead Instructor for Emerging Leaders, a national initiative focused on business growth and developing entrepreneurial CEOs. Under Lee’s three-year tenure, Detroit became the number one program in the country.

Lee currently authors the blog, “Small Talk with Mark S. Lee,” published in Crain’s Detroit Business. He formerly hosted a weekly radio show, “Small Talk with Mark S. Lee”, on Detroit’s WXYT-AM and currently hosts “The Weekly Wrap Up” & “In the Conference Room with Mark S. Lee,” which air on 910AM in Detroit.

Apart from being a noted public speaker and a frequent media contributor, he is an adjunct professor of Marketing at Eastern Michigan University, Madonna University, and Northwood University and is a former adjunct professor of Marketing & Management at Walsh College in Troy and a past instructor for Interise’s Emerging Leader’s Program. He is currently the creator and host of “EMU Today TV,” a general affairs program covering issues related to Eastern Michigan University.

He holds a Master in Business Administration in Marketing from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University. He is a Detroit native, currently residing in Northville.
