June 23, 1963, marks a momentous moment in Black history. On this day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. marched in Detroit, MI for jobs, justice, and freedom and for the first time ever delivered his famed “I Have a Dream” speech. To commemorate this historic occasion, the Detroit Branch NAACP is hosting the “June Jubilee — A Celebration of Freedom” from June 22-25, 2023 in Detroit.
