Shining Light Award Winners
The winners of the 13th annual Shining Light Regional Cooperation Awards, announced on Oct. 10, are:
- Reginald Turner Jr. – 2019 Neal Shine Award for Exemplary Regional Leadership
- Gerry Brisson – 2019 Eleanor Josaitis Unsung Hero Award
- Danielle North – 2019 Dave Bing Future Leader Award
Presented by the Detroit Free Press and the Metropolitan Affairs Coalition, these honors were created in 2007 in remembrance of late Free Press Publisher Neal Shine to recognize individuals working to make the region a better place.
