Seven Last Words of the Unarmed

A powerful musical piece that connects with the Black Lives Matter movement, “Seven Last Words of the Unarmed” is an original work that uses the last words of Black men killed by police or other authority figures.

It was first performed by the University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club under the direction of the school’s Director of Choirs, Dr. Eugene Rogers. He speaks with Arts Engines Aaron Dworkin about the powerful choral work.
