• The Fox Theatre in Detroit hosts a Mother’s Day Celebration on May 10 featuring gospel artists John P. Kee, Yolanda Adams and others.  
• Detroit Opera closes out its 2023-2024 season with a production of “The Cunning Little Vixen,” with performances on May 11, 17 and 19. 
• Patti LaBelle and El DeBarge will be at the Fox Theatre in Detroit on May 12 for a “Salute to Mother’s Day.” 
• The Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions national boxing competition starts May 13 at Huntington Place Detroit and ends with the title fight on May 18.  
• Commemorate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month at Eastern Market Shed 5 during the “Little Asian Bites Presents: Night Market Three” event on May 16.  
• Pewabic Pottery hosts a free Mother’s Day event to celebrate the influential women in your life on May 11. The event will include free snacks and refreshments. 
• Aretha’s Jazz Cafe hosts the Mother’s Day Weekend Good Vibes with the Gud Band event on May 11. The event is hosted by comedian Popcorn Spivey. 
• The Berman Center for the Performing Arts in West Bloomfield hosts A Taste of Ireland, the Irish music and dance sensation, on May 15.
