Metro Detroit has something for everyone this weekend, including the Woodward Dream Cruise, the Wyandotte Wine Crawl and AfroFuture Detroit.

Plus, enjoy a night of family-friendly fun at the Arabian Nights Festival in Ann Arbor and check out the Pop Out and Jit Showcase in Detroit.

 Upcoming Events:

  • The Howell Melon Festival takes place through August 17 in downtown Howell, featuring the Howell Melon Run, live music and Howell Melon Ice Cream.
  • The Pop Out and Jit Showcase comes to the Northwest Activities Center in Detroit on August 15 with performances and dance battles.
  • The Woodward Dream Cruise returns to Woodward Avenue on August 16. Check out the various events happening at all the participating communities on their website.
  • The Arabian Nights Festival takes place in Ann Arbor’s 2|42 Community Center on August 16, featuring live music and traditional performances that celebrate Arab culture, plus food vendors serving authentic regional dishes.
  • The Wyandotte Wine Crawl invites guests to sample a variety of wines and seltzers, including wines from Michigan based wineries on August 16. The event takes place in downtown Wyandotte and includes live music, food, games and shopping.
  • Rave n Float returns to the Argo Cascades in Ann Arbor on August 16, with tubes and lifejackets available for rent.
  • Jazz singer-songwriter Michael Franks is performing on the main stage at the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts in Detroit on August 16. 
  • The Ghana-based AfroFuture festival makes its U.S. debut in Detroit August 16-17 at Bedrock’s Douglass Site featuring music, food, fashion and art.
