Detroit has a variety of offerings this weekend, including the 63rd annual Ann Arbor Film Festival, the Totally Rad Vintage Fest and the White Lake Oaks Spring Arts and Crafts Show.
Plus, there are a handful of performances coming to town, including “Swan Lake,” “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,” Josiah Queen’s “My Promised Land” Tour and the legendary electronic music group Kraftwerk. One Detroit contributors Cecelia Sharpe and Dave Wagner of 90.9 WRCJ share some events coming up around metro Detroit this weekend and beyond.
Upcoming Events:
- Electronic Music Group Kraftwerk brings its Multimedia Tour to the Masonic Cathedral Theatre in Detroit on March 28. The tour marks the 50th anniversary of the group’s album “Autobahn.”
- The 2nd annual White Lake Oaks Spring Arts & Crafts Show takes place March 29 at the White Lake Oaks Golf Course. The free event will feature more than 40 vendors.
- The Totally Rad Vintage Fest comes to Huntington Place in Detroit March 29-30. The event features vendors offering clothing, accessories, records, toys and more from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.
- The 63rd annual Ann Arbor Film Festival returns to Michigan Theatre in Ann Arbor through March 30. This year’s festival showcases 112 selected films from local and international filmmakers.
- The Ferndale Community Concert Band hosts its 10th anniversary concert at Orchestra Hall in Detroit on March 30. The band is comprised of 80 volunteer musicians from across metro Detroit.
- Christian music artist Josiah Queen brings his “My Promised Land” Tour with special guests Strings and Heart to the Royal Oak Music Theatre on March 30.
- A performance of “Swan Lake” comes to the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts in Detroit on March 30. The performance is put on by the Grand Kyiv Ballet.
- The Inspire Theatre in Westland presents a production of “Dirty Rotten Scoundrel” through April 6 at the Westland Center for the Arts. The play is based on a film by the same name.
