One Detroit provides in-depth and trusted journalism that connects communities across Southeast Michigan. One Detroit’s storytelling takes viewers beyond the headlines, offering context and understanding of crucial issues affecting our communities.
Our team has earned numerous accolades including duPont-Columbia and Emmy awards, as well as honors from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and the Society of Professional Journalists. In 2024, One Detroit earned a Michigan Emmy in the Public Affairs Program category and won a Public Media Award in the News and Public Affairs category from the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) for its reporting on Michigan’s formerly incarcerated population.
The weekly TV show airs Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. on Detroit PBS (Channel 56) and repeats Sundays at 9 a.m.
