This Week’s COVID313 Town Hall Features:

Planning to travel during the holiday season this year? Or are you worried about the spread of potential new COVID-19 variants? Plus, how are schools working to keep students safe in the wake of the Oxford High School shooting?

This week on Detroit PBS COVID313 Community Coalition Virtual Town Hall, Tanaya Hackney, a registered nurse with the Detroit Health Department, joins the town hall to answer the public’s questions about where they can be tested for COVID-19 over the holidays. Plus, hear from medical experts about the latest COVID-19 variants and how the vaccines are holding up against them.

Then, Detroit Public School Community District Assistant Superintendent Chrystal Wilson and Ralph Bland, the founder and presidents of New Paradign for Education, a charter school, discuss the latest details about the Oxford High School shooting and how their schools are reacting. The two talk about new protocols being put in place to keep students safe.
