On the next American Black Journal, Stephen has a candid conversation with Rock Ventures Chief Diversity Officer Trina Scott and Communications/Marketing Consultants Karen Dumas and Mark S. Lee about the need for more diverse workforces at Detroit companies. They talk about a recent photo on social media that shows a lack of diversity among marketing interns at Rocket Mortgage and what steps the company is taking to increase diversity, equity and inclusion. Plus, two members of the COVID313 Community Coalition for Metro Detroit Families and Students talk about their weekly, virtual town halls and what they are hearing from the community about the pandemic’s impact. And, we’ll remember two giants in the civil rights movement: Rev. C.T. Vivian and Congressman John Lewis.
