In understanding the role art has in healing, Henry Ford Health System has been creating initiatives to provide direct emotional support for team members throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Within these efforts, they are unveiling custom art pieces reflecting and celebrating the diversity of its team members and their unique experiences through this trying time. - Leonard Slatkin

For Exiled to Motown: A recent exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum called “Exiled to Motown” explored the Japanese American experience here in Metro Detroit. It’s a story of displacement and resettlement. Japanese Americans were sent to incarceration camps during World War II. When resettlement started, their choices were limited: stay in the camps with the people they knew, or head east and start new lives in places they’d never imagined. One Detroit’s Bill Kubota has more.
